Aruguably the greatest product ever of the Canadian cricket system, Bagai catapaulted to world wide fame when as a precocious teenager he kept wickets in Canada's historic victory in the 2003 Cricket World Cup against Bangladesh. From there Bagai balanced an ambitious professional life as a banker while still playing Cricket for Canada.
He famously captained Canada in 2009's ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier and following Canada's best ever performance (finishing second) he left his full time career to realize his dream of being a professional cricketer. Over the next 2 years Bagai was Canada's top player leading with the bat and behind the stumps. He hit a match winning knock of 64* against Kenya at the 2011 Cricket World Cup and followed it up a few days later with his highest score against a full member (84) against New Zealand.
In May 2011, Bagai elected to return to his profession resigning the captaincy but still making himself available for selection. Cricket Canada
