Prairie Fire vs Western Stallions

With a dominating performance by Henry Osinde (5-28), the Western Stallions made short work of the Prairie Fire on their way to a second consecutive Calvin Clarke Trophy and the CIBC National Cricket League 50 over championship.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, the Praire Fire we pegged back with regularity as the Stallion's seam bowling attack decimated the Fire top and middle orders.  Only Canadian opener Hiral Patel (51 from 81 balls) and a brief cameo from Jatinder Mathura (!7 from 29 balls) showed any resitance as the Fire struggled to 99 from 36.2 overs.

In response, the Stallions started positively however a slew of wickets in the middle order left some work for Usman Limbada's patient 22 from 41 balls and Shazad Bashir (20 from 33) to bring the run chase close.

At the end, the Stallions got over the line in the 31st over for a loss of 6 wickets.

By virtue of a superior run rate, Stallions (+2.559) edged the Shield (+1.451) to grab the CIBC National Cricket League 50 over title.
