The club is the oldest in Eastern Canada tracing its roots back to the mid 1800's.  It is home to Canadian cricket's most valued trophies, including, the John Ross Robertson Trophy, Anthalon Cup, and Emu Award.

It is most known for the home of the Sahara Cup, a series of matches that took place between India and Pakistan on Neutral soil during the early 1990's.
